Given the testing that they do with Dells and HP's (dropping laptops several
feet onto the floor, I doubt that autocross would hurt a laptop. I ran an old
(1994) TI laptop in my ESP Mustang a couple years ago (using Autotap OBD-II
scanner for some data logging) and the laptop survived fine.
