Brian,
This is very common with Type Rs. Your reasoning is exactly correct. Most
of the top guys at Nationals did it.
As for cost I used to run 225s all around but switched to a 225 / 205 mix.
After running through 2 sets of fronts vs 1 set of rears, I don't think the
cost is any higher in the long run.
