Anybody. Even if the big manufacturers pull their financial and
engineering support, there are several dedicated race engine
manufactures who will gladly step into the gap, for a price. Judd comes
to mind. Ilmor or Cosworth are possibilities. Any of the IRL engine
builders or a consortium of them would be happy to have the steady work
that a CART series engine would bring. Especially if they could base it
off their existing IRL equipment and knowledge. Katech, Roush, Brayton
and Menard could handle several teams.
