Definitely. I think we can safely say that the "boom-car" phenomenon annoys
some folks (can't imagine why ;<), and there's very little sound above 100
Hz being radiated outside the car by stereos of this persuasion.

"A" weighting doesn't _eliminate_ low frequencies, it just gives them less,
well, weight. However, almost any broadband noise source will produce higher
SPL measured with "C" weighting than with "A." So "C" weighting is the
"safest" from the POV of neighborhood annoyance, but a bit more difficult
wrt muffling requirements.
