Hello all autocross chairs and fans,
Fairfield County Sports Car Club (FCSCC) is working on a fantastic event
for October 28. We're 99% through with approvals for the site, and want
to get people talking about the event. This will be held at a FANTASTIC
NEW site in the greater Bridgeport, CT area. The site has a good surface
and is similar in size to the Harrisburg, PA site that has (IIRC) held
National Tours in the past.
The event is a fund raiser for the Bunnell High School Marching Band of
Stratford, CT for their trip to this year's Tournament of Roses Parade.
If all goes well on Oct. 28, we may be able to use this site in the
future for club events, Evolution Schools, Tours, Pros, etc.
Since this site is new (and we'd like to run more events there in the
future), and with the expectation of a very large turnout, we will be
enforcing several rules:
1) Muffled cars only - our usual "good neighbor" policy will be in
effect. If your car is too loud, we will give you ONE chance to reduce
its noise to an acceptable level.
2) NO karts.
3) 200 cars maximum
4) Pre-registration only. Pre-registration can be done through our web
site (www.fcscc.com), starting about 2-3 weeks prior to the event.
5) Preference for registration will be given to members of the following
clubs: Fairfield County SCC, New England SCC (NOTE: NESCC is a possible
co-sponsor of this event), CART, Westchester SCC, Poughkeepsie SCC,
NER-SCCA, NYR-SCCA, NNJR-SCCA.
6) Gates will open at 6:30AM..
7) First car off at 10AM!!! (We will need everyone's help to make sure
we don't finish in the dark!)
Directions and additional information will be posted on our web site
(www.fcscc.com) as it becomes available.
Please mention this event at other clubs' events so we can get the word
out for a big turnout for this great site!
Thanks,
Dave Williamson
