Now if a Neon ACR isn't a "factory tuner" car, I'm not sure what you would call
it. The fact is, that several of the top GS drivers over the last few years
would use top DS drivers as their "stretch" target at larger events. The fact
that they were frequently competitive with them on a National-level course only
goes to support the argument that at the very least, the Chrysler Neon ACR's
should be stuck in DS along with the rest of the "factory tuner" cars.
BTW ... I predict a 330ci wins GS this year for what it's worth. When a
reasonable M3 driver can climb out of his moderately prepared E36 M3 and climb
into a totally unprepared (other than tires) 330ci and turn in raw times 2 full
seconds faster than his best time in the E36 M3, that says to me that the E46
330ci is woefully underclassed!!! Watch for Neal Sapp to show us all how it is
done with that 330ci he is registered in!
