Hey guys. Our region is looking into buying a new timer for our Solo II
program.
We already have photo reflective triggers that work very well and a
large l.e.d. display from RaceAmerica that we love.
The problem is in the middle, a laptop which is very hard to read in
sunlight and software that is problematic at best.
We are looking at the JA Circuits timer and the new AC4 timer from
RaceAmerica and have a few questions.
JAC says their timer will work with the any large display. Does anyone
use the JAC timer with the RaceAmerica display and does it interface
well?
RaceAmerica's AC4 uses Ultra Bright L.E.D.'s. Are they as easy to read
in bright sunlight as the L.C.D.'s on the JAC timer?
Also the Race America AC4 has a membrane style keypad with each key
serving different functions. How is the tactile feel of the keypad and
how easy/hard is it to learn the different functions?
Any input is appreciated.
