A REMINDER that the first deadline for regular priced entry into the Northeast
Division's Premiere Solo 2 event, the Championships, is fast approaching.
This is the Thirtieth Anniversary of this great event. This year is an extra
special event,
because for the first time in the history of the NEDiv Solo2 Championships,
the success of it rests with the entire Division. This year, there is no one
host region, but instead all of the regions that comprise the Northeast
Division are the hosts. We have assembled a strong list of Chiefs to
organize this event, but without YOU, it won't be the same.
Here are a few of the items to consider:
* The site is the best site in the Northeast for Solo 2, Concrete at the
Griffiss Technology Park will help to prepare you or to introduce you what you
would experience at the National Championships. Even if you won't be
traveling to Kansas this year, a trip to Rome will give you a taste for those
national caliber courses.
* The opportunity to represent your region while you contend for the
Prestigious Grant Reynolds Award. This traveling trophy is awarded to the
region with the best representation and performance at this one event. Long a
"possession" of New England Region, it has traveled to Susquehanna and the
Finger Lakes Regions in the past two years. It may be your region's
chance. But not unless you come and participate.
* The strength of your region's novice program could pay off as you also
vie for the Novice Challenge Trophy. This award, began in 1998, and has been
won initially by the Finger Lakes Region in 1999 by New York Region and in
2000 by the Western New York Region. This could be your region's year, so
rally together your novices and get them registered to
participate in the biggest event of the Northeast Division's Solo 2 Calendar.
Go to the web page, www.nedivsolo2.org now to download the entry form, or use
the standard form in Sportscar and mail it along with a check for 55.00 before
July 28 to:
