To be honest I don't really care about it that much. It was basically
Denny's quality food at twice the price. I hear the beer was good though.
To give you some specifics...
The "New England Clam Chowder" was a brownish mush. It tasted mostly like
bacon/ham. On its own it I'm sure some folks would like it, but it sure
as heck wasn't new england clam chowder.
The steak I had was thin and overdone. Denny's quality.
The blooming onion wasn't seperated worth a damn, and was very bland.
Probably some folks would like it, if they're spice-adverse.
I hear that the seafood nachos weren't anything to write home about
either, though I didn't have any.
Overall, it just wasn't all that good to me. Other folks might have a
different opinion. It wasn't like I got sick or something, I just didn't
enjoy it.
The AuSable Inn, on the other hand, was excellent. Nice steak, great
onion rings, good fries. The cheesecake was also good.
If you'd like to forward this on Mr. Wiltse, please feel free. If he's
helped us secure an autox site, I surely appreciate it, despite how I
might feel personally about the food at the brew pub! :-)
