A debate has sprung up over on the evolution list regarding ProSolo's
current procedure of dq'ing a competitor who redlights a run during class
competition. As you probably already know, ProSolo changed their timing
system this year so that reaction time no longer is included in your time
during class competition. Myself and some other folks are thinking that
if r/t can't help you, it shouldn't be able to hurt your either. I.e. you
shouldn't loose a class competition run if you cut a reaction time under
.500.
I've created two polls over on the evolution list. If you care about
ProSolo, please take some time and go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/evolution-discussions/polls to express your
opinion (you'll have to become a member of the evolution discussion list
if you're not already). The results, if a change is popular, will be
forwarded on to Howard & the SCCA.
The first poll is a simple "agree/disagree" thing that is intended to see
what folk's philosophy about the redlight is.
The second poll has all the combinations of things I've talked about as
potential changes. They're split into two polls in case folks want to
agree philosophically but disagree in terms of implementation.
