I think it is just great competition to have the two series CART and IRL
drivers competiting at Indy. Sorry I don't mean to offend the NASCAR or
other series drivers.
It reminded me of the early to mid 60's British Invasion of Indy. Too bad
that with today's driver contracts and F-1 scheduling that many of the F-1
drivers cannot compete. OH!!!! I forgot there is the USGP at Indy.
As far as PAX goes, each person to themselves. Personally I think it very
baised for those running "street" or R rated compounds. Today's R rated
compound tires are just as "sticky" as the slicks are. Also you have SCCA
that bumped down the GTI, and the Honda SI down to HS where they are
certainly mis-classed. What happened to the class with the "cheap"
econo-boxes such as Ford Escort.
