Well, they are switching us to NT after three years of waiting. It means
that I have to clear out, my DOSmail folders. I came aross these origianl
posts of me goading Phil Either to rejoin SCCA and come to play at the Solo
2 Nationals.

So how about "Inna Godda Da Vida" (sic) more than twenty minutes. That's
your money's worth. Probably wouldn't play it. Gran Funk Railroad's "I'm
Your
Captain"? No, dating myself too much.
WAIT
WAIT
WAIT!
We're straying (though worthwhile). I'd put up Ten dollars towards PBA
(Phil's Big Adventure). Eighty member's @ ten per person, and Phil is there.
Heck, with the revised costs, we're down to 60 to 70 people.
???????????????????????
Phil, Kansas beckons. The land of Ahhhhhhs. You missed the Czar's Treasures
last year. This is the home of the Video Toaster (video post-production
tool). That micro brewery would be a nice place to meet.

Here come the excuses:
Going out East
Dog ate my homework
Shoe laces are untied
Not a member
Hoosier's aren't sticky enough
Lap dance too short
Seize the day Phil. Here's your chance at a almost free vacation in
beautiful Topeka. This might not have the same groundswell next year. Ya
snooze, ya
lose.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So we come down to my last update. The time draws near.
I pass the torch to Mark Bradakis, the Second Annual Team.Net Driver To
Nationals.
I thank you all again for the privilege you have given me to be the first.
I hope to return some day, whether with a white Lotus on a trailer or
driving some H Stock beater.
Remember, Mark, the post requires one thing which may make you feel silly,
but it is essential: Be visible. All the netters must have a chance to
see you and meet you. That was my duty. I was there for everyone as much
as possible. I met more people in eight days than in the previous year.
It may be harder for you than it was for me, because I was not burdened by
any serious attempt to drive quickly.
A cashier's check is being prepared in the amount of $920.07. Mark will
use it wisely for expenses involved in bringing him to Nationals, carrying
any remainder over for the 1998 program. He will now assume the
administration of the funds. Future checks should be sent to:
Mark Bradakis
Fat Chance Garage
PO Box 58333
Salt Lake City UT 84158
Checks now in transit to me will be forwarded to Mark when I receive them.
So without further ado, here is my final update of contributors. The
entire file has been forwarded to Mark so he can provide whatever memento
or whatnot he sees fit.
