Thanks to all who've given their suggestions. And thanks to Alan for
remembering
my "special situation". Most of the trucks that have been mentioned are
available on the used market in Europe, but certainly not in the quantities or
at
the prices that they can be found in the US. Trailers are available in
abundance
and finding one of high quality shouldn't be too difficult. On the other hand,
since I have no other interest in this monster other than to tow my car, I've
even been considering a small autotransporter, of which there are a number of
European models.
