How's this one: apparently, the producers had hired these two actors to
play the announcers, however, they couldn't get the "right level of
excitement"... so they brought in Paul Page (yes, THAT Paul Page) and Larry
Henry (of Detroit's WWJ 950 AM, who is the radio voice of CART) to
re-record the dialog... most of which was simple voice-over, but some of it
apparently had to be matched to the actors when the announcer characters
were on-screen. They did this about a month ago, in one day of recording.
Larry Henry was impressed by the process, but didn't have much to say about
the lines he was given to read... I suspect I'll have to drop him an e-mail
and see if he thought it was as bad as we all do.
