Physics: Seattle earthquake bonus

a funny thing happened in the Seattle earthquake: whilst all the glass was
shattering and the bookcases were falling over in my house, the one
surviving hardcopy of parts 1-12 the "physics of racing" series fell off the
top of a tall bookcase where i had apparently mislaid it ten years ago.

i'll be posting fresh scans of these early articles, along with the newer
ones, on a more reliable host than geocities some time this summer.

funny how good things sometimes happen in the midst of bad :-)
