OT: 1970 Caddy

A neighbor has a rebuilt 1970 Cadillac Coupe de Ville
convertible that he says is in mint condition excedpt for
the blown engine.

His family wants him to junk it but he's trying to decide
if it makes sense to invest around $5000 in a replacement
engine.

If you know anyone who could help him answer this question,
I'll be happy to pass along any info.
