Burbs are stout. That's why they are the national truck of
Texas. While in high school, a friend's mom was backing her Burb
down the driveway of my house. Due to darkness and tinted windows,
she went off course and demolished the brick mailbox. We felt a
small nudge and didn't know what happened until we finished driving
over the debris. The bumper was not scratched! Burb 1, Mailbox 0.
My mom's Volvo 740 survived a deer strike well. Minus cosmetic
pieces, we got home OK. Volvo 1, Buck, 0. I was driving behind in
my Spitfire. With cars reversed, I would have had buck in my face.
:-(
Then there was the time I had to go agricultural at speed to
avoid a longhorn steer in the middle of a blind turn. Imagine an
Aggie almost wiped put by texas university's BEVO. :-O BEVO 1,
Aggie 0.
Weird memories!
