The stock firesucks arent so bad. Decent dry grip and no, they wont fall
apart at high speeds. I know of guys who have won DSP at events with (almost
bald) firesucks. Of course i'll keep my toyo all seasons for the street and
bfg r1's for race thank you :)

I missed your original post (I suspect AOL was not delivering all the
digests, so I am switching back to the work account...), however -
per the GRM article on prepping Saturns for autox and road-racing, the SL2
is top-speed limited to 108 vs the SC2 at 124. If true, for road-race use,
the SC2 is definitely the better choice.
I haven't had my SL2 over 100 yet - don't dare try it with the OEM
Firestones... :-)
