I guess my motivation was to find a way to stop the whining about most
of the cars in HS being too slow.  ;^)

I know all about owning noncompetitive cars.  I've autocrossed with a
diesel Rabbit, a Chevy Sprint with an automatic transmission, and a '85
Nova with 150,000 miles and rock hard tires.  I've never bought an R
tire, either.  However, I do have fun every time I enter an autocross,
and do collect a regional tropy once in a while.

I think we all agree more than disagree, but it just doesn't sound that
way.
