What number is it that you guys are comparing? If there's anything
worth comparing here, it's peak thrust in first gear. Thrust is
measured in pounds, not in pound-feet.
Calculate peak thrust in first gear as:
T * G * F / R
That's peak torque (in pound-feet), times first gear ratio, times
final drive ratio, divided by the loaded radius of your driven tire
(in feet).
Of course, thrust alone isn't all that interesting anyway. How
long you can sustain that thrust, the shape of the torque curve,
and the ability to avoid wheelspin at peak thrust are all
significant factors.
