Well, if the Nationals moved to the Kansas Speedway, then it would no longer
be a part of the Kansas Region. It would then be in the Kansas City Region.
Which pretty much covers Kansas City to Lawrence to Emporia I believe, to
Kansas City, Missouri towards Columbia. Not exactly sure the area truly
covered by the Kansas City area. I know that Kansas Region is mostly made up
of Topeka people with a few thrown in here and there, like myself. I should
be a Kansas City Region member, but have chosen to be a member of Kansas
Region instead.
On the money issue, I don't have a clue as to what all the region pays to
host the Warm-ups. Yes, the money goes to the region, but that is the only
money the club makes for pretty much the whole year. If it wasn't for the
Warm-ups, the region probably wouldn't be able to do the things it is able to
do. Up till 96,' we didn't have a Solo program. No sites, and no one to
organize it to get it off the ground. We had Heartland Park and the Kaw
Valley Race Group and that was it till then.
