I don't think anyone's suggesting that we _require_ roll cages in cars.  I
think what folks are suggesting is that Stock & SP classes allow welded in
cages that are built to GCR specs.

Now, I dunno about the performance advantage of adding a cage.  I think
that pretty much every Fox Chassis Mustang owner will immediately want to
put a cage in, but I dunno about other cars.

MHO, the performance advantage should be minimal if it even exists.  This
is something we should allow so that people can take their autox car to
the track to play with it in safety.  It also, in the rather unlikely
event it happens, could help on the autox course.

Nobody that I've seen has been talking about _requiring_ a cage though.
