My dad, an over the road driver for Mason Dixon the whole time I was
growing up, was fond of saying that the most dangerous vehicles on the
road were big RV's. Their drivers required no special license and
typically had very, very, very little seat time in something that big.

On that note, ever notice how many other idiots out there on the roads like
to dive in front of large RVs, trucks and trailer towing trucks? You go to
all the trouble of not tail-gaiting the guy in front of you to allow plenty
of braking space and some idiot with a cell phone glued to his ear dives in
that big ol' empty space in front of you. Apparently they have no concept
of the amount of distance it takes to stop these very heavy vehicles,
especially if they're overloaded or have marginal brakes.

Natural selection just isn't quite quick enough sometimes. ;^)
