I snipped most of this mile-long post that I was skimming.  (if anyone is
curious, I skimmed only the ladies responses to this thread, just to see
what the score was)

Legally, the SCCA is a private club.  The issue of who we allow to run in
what class is entirely up to us.  A good comparison would be the Boy Scouts
of America.  A few years back, a gentleman and his sons were kicked out of
the BSA due to their atheism, which goes against BSA's philosophy.  They
took the issue to court and lost because BSA is not a private club, not a
public agency.

Based on this, I would assume that your comparisons to girl's little league
and such are invalid.
