Steyed to the bitter end, but then I have to. Part of my work assignment :-)

But then, we live 2 hours from the event. Went back to the motel, slept
until we woke up, home by noon.

But what bugged us is that to do that, we had to take our car out of the
event site Friday night. Would rather have left it there and gone to get it
Saturday -- but the gates are only open 6-8 am Saturday (supposedly -- see
post from the guy there just after 6 to find locked gates). So if you have
to get up that early to retrieve your car, you don't want to be up to
midnight.

One thing ... if those tables clear out closer to the stage, move up to
them. If we are to be a small crowd, let's at least pack it in close to
those getting the awards. When the 100 people left are scattered around the
100 tables in the room, it may as well be empty. Pack those 100 at 15 tables
near the dais and it will seem like a nice crowd. Bring your beer, tea,
leftover desserts.
