To find Karl (and JD, for that matter!) you had to, first, find the
big Italian flag that was flying proudly from his van.  That, at
least, told you which course he was on.  If you saw his car in the
paddock, you probably saw mine, too, since several of us TLS members
were all pitted together near the back of the paddock.
