At the Nationals in 1998 I was in the car waiting to do my first run. I
was very nervous as I sat in the car. The onboard video was running as
Scott Peterson
cleaned my tires. He finished with the last tire, stood up and walked
over to me.
He leaned down and screamed "Now get out there and kick some ass and
make me proud". This was followed by the smack of a gloved hand upside
my helmet.
The best part was he had forgot that the camera was running. I still
have the footage.
