This incident occurred at last years Labor Day Celebration at General
Motor's Bowling Green Assembly Plant. You can see the GM sign on the right
side of the course.
GM doesn't allow autocrosses on that property anymore. Now thay autocross
on a track with a 2-3 foot wall and a fence. Yup, you guessed it, the
course is very close to the wall. Just asking for trouble!!
The guy that was hit (yes only one person was hit) was a course worker who
was sitting in a lawn chair. The man wasn't seriously injured, no hard
facts but nothing more serious than a broken bone. Very Lucky!
Better to go over a car than under an SUV!
He was evidently admiring the Zaino finish as hit butt scooted across the
hood!
The car is a Mallet Corvette. Which means mucho power.
