Hi Team!
I cant believe the SEB is even considering placing
the NEON in class 5 with the Type R! I thought the
1999 season was proof that the cars shouldn't be class
mates! The 3 times Daddio squared off with the West
Coast Type R drivers, he only won 2 of the events(He
got beat at Wendover). Thats a 66% win ratio, not to
mention the fact Daddio was the only one in the
country who could beat them!
After all, the differences between the NEON and the
Type R are comperable to the differences between the
C4 and the C5 Corvettes, yet the two Corvettes have
their own classes!?!?!?!?!?
By placing the NEON and the Type R together, our great
sport will probably loose its largest contingency
sponsor(Chrysler has offered over $3,000,000.00 to
SCCA racing since 1995). We have very few sponsors in
our sport and we should do everything within our power
to demand parity! Our sponsors deserve at least
parity!
Daimler-Chrysler was unhappy with Road Racing last
year over issues of lack of parity,Now the SEB wants
to pick at the same "scab" and give DC a real reason
to pull their generous and lucrative sponsorship.
DUH!!!!!!
