At the larger events (Divisionals and higher) the camcorders are not allowed
while walking the courses. As to the wheelchair, I'd hope that nobody would
be _that_ big of an asshole as to not allow them on course for those who
depend on them. I know _I_ wouldn't be that asshole.

Subject: getting preview action of the course.
I was walking the course today and I had the thought... What if I were
disabled (not that I am... yet :-) and had to use a wheelchair? Does that
mean I could toodle around the track in an electric wheelchair? Get some
eye level, use a steering wheel type "walking" in?
That was shortly followed by.. Can I strap a camcorder to my chest so the
POV would be @ eye level, then walk the course.. Then go back and ffd play
it back. x2, x4 x6 action? Get a feel for the course @ eyelevel and @
racing speed? Get couple dozen virtual runs before turning a wheel in
anger? *grins*
