For those of you who were looking for tow vehicles with the necessary power,
but didn't want the huge size of the 3/4 ton or 1 ton diesel bohemoths,
there is an alternative....try building Hot Rod Magazine's "toy truck". Why
do I mention this in a thread about Dodge muscle cars? Well, their toy
truck was a Dodge Dakota extended cab with a 650 hp 528 CID fuel injected
Hemi crate motor. If that doesn't have the power to satisfy your towing
needs, buy a Peterbilt ;-)
