As far as I know, you "usually" do not want to open the hood. That would
only allow more oxygen to reach the fire. Heat rises, so I've always been
told to blow the extinguisher under the fender and let the flow suck the
retardent up onto the fire.
IS THAT CORRECT????
I really want to know.
