In the case of the site I cited (no pun intended ;<) I don't know
exactly. It was definitely not much, as the region's events were very
small. Ergo, we were entirely dependent on the airport authority's
charitable instincts.

Definitely not enough. Small regions can almost never pay a "real" site
rental fee.

There just ain't no frre lunch, is there? ;<(
The daily fee at Texas Motor Speedway is somewhat more than 2k/day, once
you include the mandatory EMS crew. Too much for us to come out OK on a
typical regional event. And, at that, they watched the first Texas NT
very closely. They were a lot more comfortable with us this year,
according to the folks who dealt directly with the site management.
I share Roger's amazement with what some club people will do without
thinking about the likelihood that they are putting the use of a site in
jeopardy. It can make it really difficult when the time comes to
negotiate next year's dates.
