We discussed something similar back with Miatas, and then earlier Saturn
coupes, which have different nosepieces between earlier and later models.
The consensus was that since these parts don't give you any kind of
performance advantage it shouldn't be a problem. Running stock-illegal
ducting to holes or vents present in the different piece would be, well,
stock illegal, but the part itself is OK. As for the airdam, I doubt the
more aggressive looking piece from an M Roadster is going to give your Z3
1.9 a handling advantage at autox speeds. But it would look cool. ;)
Just my 02¢ - I'd still suggest getting a real "rules lawyer's" opinion
before proceeding.
