Heh - reminds me of a thread on the BMW list a while back (apologies to
those of you on both lists for whom this is a repeat).  Many BMWs come with
a full sized alloy spare to match the rest of the wheels.  A number of
people had opened up their trunks after the car had been in the shop, only
to find a cheap steel spare in their trunk.  Apparently certain shops and
dealers had been liberating alloy spares and selling them as "custom alloy
wheels" on new cars!  So put a 5th wheel lock on your spare...

on a 2002!
