This is not meant as a slam but is a serious question. Did you lock your
car and trailer because you heard about people stealing things at the
event, or was it because you perceived the threat to be greater with the
import drag guys around? Just curious.
Another point I thought of while reading this discussion. If there is a
problem with violence, stealing, etc. at these events, how much of that
is due to the age of the participants. I know I did a lot of things when
I was in that 18-25 year age bracket that I wouldn't dream of doing now.
You tend to not worry about the consequences of your actions as much when
you are younger. Is this an excuse? No, of course not. But it might be
part of the reason.
