It handles great right out of the box, but SP mods let others catch up to
it, evening the ground a bit.

Maybe, maybe not. However, this would explain why the 2002 and 2002tii are
classed together. EFI can be added to both engines, and tii parts can be
added to the 2002 to turn it into one.
