OK, here's a driving question, or at least, driving-related question. I've
run into the same problem at the last 3-4 events I have run: My first run
is my fastest, even encouragingly fast, and then I can't improve on it.
Background: I've been autoxing for a little over a year (since mid-1998),
going to as many events as possible and I also took a McKamey school about 6
weeks ago.
I feel like I'm doing all the right things: mentally asking myself what I
did right, what I did wrong, and picking out a few things I can do to
improve during the next two runs. Then I go out there and run consistent
times, within a second of the first run, but still slower.
Does anyone have any advice about how to get out of this rut? I'm sure some
of you must have been here before, right?
Thanks in advance,
Peter Bodensteiner
