Speaking of trailer tires, what pressures are recommended for them? Do you
use the max pressure stamped on the sidewall? I bought a used trailer and
the tire pressures were all under 30 psi. I raised the pressures, but still
not to the max stamped on the tires. It is a two-axle open car hauler.
Race car plus trailer probably weighs around 4000 lbs.
Also, the tires on the axle which has the brakes have a cupped wear pattern
on them. What causes this? On a car this usually indicates bad shocks, but
the trailer has no shocks. Maybe the tires are bouncing under braking?
Thanks,
