Howdy all.
I want to get some really REALLY close-up shots of autocross cars while
they're on course. This past Sunday I got a couple of pics of a Porsche
930 really lifting it's front wheel upon corner exit (on street tires no
less). But..........they aren't "tight" enough for my wants.
I have a Yashica manual focus camera with a Tamron 70-210 lens and am
currently using the Kodak Gold Max 800 film with some very nice results.
But I want even closer, tighter shots since I have to be well off course
to take pictures of the cars as they run.
Is there such a thing as an inexpensive, quality "doubler" that still
produces acceptable pictures? What's the minumum "big" lens that I need
to take those 50 yard photos and still get in tight enough to fill the
frame with the front clip of a car?
I guess this is autocross related since I'm trying to take action
pictures of autocross cars while they're on course.
Thanks in advance.
See you on course.
