Eric,

I'd contact Guy Ankeny @ Tri-Point Engineering for Miata setup advice.

He ought to know. He was the CSP National Champion two years ago.

Guy originally ran 225/50-13 radials and eventually switched to
245/45-16 radials (with Mazda Comp flares).

If you run a 13" Hoosier, radial or bias, the optimum rim width is 8.5"
or 9", not 7".
You will be at a distinct disadvantage since the Hoosier bias tires need
to be "stretched" to work best. You don't go to gunfight with a water
pistol.:-)

I'd start @ 28-29 FR, 26-27 REAR. Work your way down with pressures
with the bias plies. 1-1.25 degrees of negative camber in the front is
where I'd start. If you have Keizer wheels, I can get you wider outer
rim halves to make your 225/45-13's work best.

If you haven't mounted the tires yet I can swap you radials for the $5
price difference between the two sizes. To use the Hoosiers you need to
increase your rim width!!!

I've been a Hoosier dealer since 1986 specializing in Solo. Who sold
you the tires??
Did they give you any advice or recommendations?? Any dealer who
deserves your business, needs to tell you the best combination for your
car, not just sell you the tires without any apparent support or advice.

Hope this helps.
