     Don't worry about autox runs affecting the oil.  The effect is 
minimal.  That half mile trip to the store to buy those gherkins you 
adore does more damage to the oil.  :-)  I stick to a 3000-3500 mile 
changing schedule no matter how many autox runs I do and I can do 
quite a few during a practice session.
     Doing a lapping session is another matter.  Spending a few 
_hours_ rather than seconds near redline will probably affect the 
oil.  I'm assuming you're using good oil to begn with.  If you use 99 
cent no-name stuff, you get what you pay for.  Mobil 1 is cheap 
insurance for me.
