Thanks for the message about the open house at MTI Racing. I didn't know their
shop was near my home. I decided to stop in.
Your World Challenge car looks great. I guess there are a few more things to do
to it (is a race car ever "done"?), but it looks (and sounds) ready to race.
Quite a bit more advanced than my World Challenge Class B '89 Camaro from a few
years ago. I like the paint scheme and minimal decals (for now, anyway). I bet
you can't wait for the World Challenge season to begin.
Reese Cox seems like a friendly and knowledgable guy and they have an impressive
shop. Next door is Dynolab, Inc., and Arthur Mulder was nice enough to spend a
lot of time talking about his chassis dyno. A lot of Corvette club members were
enjoying seeing how their cars performed on the chassis dyno. The cost was
pretty inviting - three runs for around $60. Arthur has set up the software to
create a nice color graph of HP and torque along with a digital picture of your
cars. I thought about putting my Fiat X1/9 on it, but it would have been
embarassing to have the two digit horsepower figures display for everone to see
:-). I'll go back when there aren't so many big V-8's around. Any enthusiast
clubs around Atlanta should consider contacting Arthur for special rates - (678)
560-0692.
Best of luck this year.
