SCCA is a non-profit club. But........
I am wondering if any SCCA group in any state is required to charge (and pay)
sales tax for entry fees for Solo 2 events to the state?
If your region has a racing group, what are their requirements - same or
different?
Additionally, are your groups also required to charge and pay to the state
sales tax on anything sold at the "Goodie Stores" sometimes found at local
events?
Please distinguish between local events and 'national' events held, if it
makes a difference. For instance, at the Nationals is there an included fee
for taxes? At Divisionals/Tours? Pro Solos?
I am interested in a large sampling of specific experiences and known
examples, not opinions please.
