<color><param>7F00,0000,0000</param>> and get one, it shouldn't be in stock.

</color>I wonder how many average persons can plunk down $65,000 for a
base model 1999 Porsche 911 or $100,000+ if they get really spendy
with all the options. This is a SuperStock car.

Or how many average persons can plunk down $57,000 for a base
model 1998 Saleen S-351 or 83,000 if they fill it up with options. BTW,
there's way less than 1000 of this model sold in a year. In the 15 year
history of the company they've only sold about 5000 cars. But here it
is in Super Stock.

Or there's the Shelby 427 Cobra (also in Super Stock). Anyone with a
mere $500,000 can buy a new one (but hey, Carroll will sign the car
and personally hand you the keys<<s>).

Oh, I forgot another Shelby - since stock class says Shelby: Cobra
(all), then there's the most famous Shelby Cobra of all... the Shelby
Cobra Daytona Coupe. They'll do 196 mph at LeMans. There were 6
made. And you too can buy one if you have the 2-10 million dollars
they went for in their most recent sales.

I think price ought to be part of that availability calculation in stock.
After all, if a car is truly limited edition, anyone with extra cash in their
pocket can buy one no matter how small the production numbers. So,
Firehawks aren't limited production - anyone with $100,000 will easily
be able to buy one from an existing owner (and I'm sure for a lot less
than that).

I think it's time to revisit these guidelines for what is a stock car and
look at the cars that have been allowed to violate those rules vs. the
ones that are artificially left out.
