Michael:
You write: "What exacty is Parhump anyway? ISn't that the sound of the cones
going under
my tires??"
Ahh, yet another "Hooked on Phonics" moment! Pahrump is a small Nevada town,
about 50 miles southwest of Las Vegas. The name is an Indian word that means
something like "Place with Springs" or "Only Decent Water in 5000 Miles" or
words to that affect.
It is also the site of our SOLO II Divisional, on March 6 & 7.... THIS
WEEKEND!!!!
And, lastly, if you say "Pahrump" over and over, with just the right rhythm, it
sounds like "The Lone Ranger Theme"!!!!
