Hi Eric!

That rodent will get even with you as will his hometown! Of course even some
of the locals there can't spell it either...P u n x s u t a w n e y.....50
miles south of here in the backwoods on US 119....and on MY way to Steel
Cities region events...where we often used to stop for breakfast on Sunday
mornings....and Bill Murray couldn't stand it there either ! ;-) ....

WE can only HOPE the season will start sooner....it was a dreary and
miserable that day here......I ALWAYS wonder if they're telling the truth
down there on Gobbler's Knob! We've had a bright sunshine day here and HE
DOESN'T SEE his shadow!! I think he imbibes with the red-nosed gentlemen
down there too much the night before.....celebrating his big day!!

The big joke in 1998 (as Randy Chase can attest to) was when Phil came out
last year the gentleman in the top hat got.. bitten by a highly aggitated
groundhog... whilst he proclaimed to the crowd that Phil screamed at him
"Damn El Nino and Weather Channel"!

Howdy y'all. I'm really happy that the overgrown rat known as Punxatawnie
Phil didn't see his shadow. Maybe the race season will start sooner.
