Jim,
I think it has something to do with the health of the FF1600 class in
general and the modified classes in autocross. I don't know why people
would rather race a street car instead of a pure race car, but they do.
I've even tried to explain that it can be less expense in the long run too.
But no one seems to believe it. I've started running more time trials and
hillclimbs myself with George Bowland and fellow CM driver Dave Cutchins. I
think it has something to do with the lack of faster flowing courses for
me. They are very rare these days, where I live.
