FYI there are some ways to make the Tilton clutch much less of an on/off
switch. When I purchased mine Craig Taylor recommended a disk material that
could handle more abuse. I think he said the material was developed to help
the CART/INDY CAR drivers deal with pit stops. I also got the smallest
available T/O diameter (increases the travel distance needed due to longer
"lever arm"). However, with the clutch M/C used with the stock style clutch
the pedal effort was still too heavy and the action was too on/off. Solved
this by going to a smaller diameter M/C (.70 to .625). Problem solved. FYI,
I always use the clutch for shifting . . . but don't shift much.
