Lauri,

As I recall, you need to :

1. Remove the stops in the window channel
2. Position the Window where you can reach the channel
3. Slide the upper bar of the mechanism into the channel, I think you have
more space to the front, as you have the quarterlight width to play with
4. Re-install the stops
5. Attach the winder mechanism
6. Adjust the stops, so that the window is correct at top/bottom. Very
important this, as if the window winds too high, you will smash the window on
closing against the hardtop or softtop rail (yes I've done this!) very messy,
and start again.

Another tip is that there is a difference in the channel shape/size between
earlier models and SV, so ensure mechanism is matched to window channel.

If you'd like me to scan the workshop manual pages, let me know.

Good luck.

Julian.

Thank you very much. This is very essential with left hand window, which
ilts not enough inwards.
still wonder how to get winding mechanism connected to window bottom rail
t the right side. All links must be in right angle, but how to slide
rolls" to the rail at bottom of the window, from front or rear or
ombining?
I have done this 2 or 4 times, but it takes hours to learn it (and only a
ouple of months to forget the steps of work).

I have an old and quite complex house. Now I have left my workshop manual
omewhere, and I can not reassemble door window mechanism. Well, some
roblems are with windshield, too.

Is there an easy access to this kind of info somewhere?
